The Astor Theatre – located in Melbourne, Australia celebrated her 75th Anniversary in 2011.
I got the opportunity to speak over the phone to Tara Judah – the Assistant to the Proprietor of the Astor Theatre, and , Treasurer of the Friends of the Astor society.
We spoke about many aspects of the Theatre:
+ How did the cinema begin ?
+ What makes the cinema different to other cinemas around Australia ?
+ Is there a fear the cinema may be no more in the future ?
+ Who has made special guest appearances to promote their film ?
+ Will it move with the times of Digital projection ?
+ The 9 lives of the Astor cat.
