[video] Remembering film composer Hugh Martin, who has died aged 96.

News that came through today of the passing of Hugh Martin.
Mr Martin, an American film, theatre composer, was instrumental in the composing of film scores including. ‘Meet Me In St Louis’.

The three songs from that films were:   ‘The Boy Next Door’ , ‘The Trolley Song’  and ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’
All songs were sung by Judy Garland in the film, with the last mentioned being one of the most famous in film historh.

As a side note:  ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ appeared in The Godfather – the song , playing on the radio in the background sung by Al Martino (Johnny Fontaine)
